Multistate~: a portrait-field made to code-switch. Charcoal/graphite/carbon ink, plus dust recovered from discarded drawings (pyrolysis → pigment → return). Faces cohere, dissolve, re-cohere; text attempts governance; the substrate disputes it. Signed at the throat of the outer mask — authorship as another layer, grazing the drawing’s voice.
